SONS OF LIBERTY at Raismes Festival, Septembre 11, 2022.

Southern rock will be discussed with Sons Of Liberty which is now bursting onto the festival stage. One would think that they are musicians from the South of the United States in view of the style chosen but these come straight from the perfidious Albion. They changed singer recently and it is therefore Rob Walker who is behind the microphone in Raismes.

The quintet will play large excerpts from their latest album “Aces & Eights” released last year. I particularly liked "Fire And Gasoline", "Don't Hide Behind Your Weakness", "Ruby Starr" and especially "Texas Hill Country" which Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet wouldn't deny... The only complaint we can possibly do to SOL is that they lack a "Free Bird" or a "Highway Song" to make their performance even more memorable but hey it's nice to see that there are groups who take up the torch of southern rock in our time...
